Anthony Damiani’s vision of philosophy is inspiring: deep, broad, and complex. Not only did he explain difficult concepts in words, he used symbolical diagrams to indicate what couldn’t be said in words. Moreover, he sought to relate the points of view of many different thinkers, mystics, philosophers, and spiritual traditions and show how they complemented rather than contradicted each other. Here we want to indicate some of the traditions, schools, and philosophies that he engaged with, amplified, drew upon, and synthesized in both classes and diagrams. But first we must say more about the central symbol that he used to connect astrology and philosophy.
